Projects and tasks · 3 min read
Create a project and organize its first tasks
Define the client, initial scope, and tasks you actually need.
Pending workflow validation
This guide has been checked against the application code. Its workflow still needs validation in an isolated test account.
What you will achieve
Prepare a project with reviewed tasks and clear ownership.
Before you start
- Permission to create projects and tasks; an active client.
- Planned name, goal, dates, and assignees.
Steps
1. Create the project
In Projects, open New project. Select the correct client and fill in name, type, status, description, and dates. Check the context before saving.
2. Choose a template when useful
A template is optional. If used, review its phases and tasks; recommended items may be preselected. Keep only those matching the agreed work instead of accepting the full library without review.
3. Check created tasks
Open the saved project and inspect its tasks. When adding or editing a task, check relationship, client, project, assignee, priority, and due date. The task creator does not replace its assigned owner.
4. Review visibility and approval
Linking a task to a client does not mean it should appear in the portal. Check its scope and any associated agreement. Some shared call tasks assigned to the agency can also be visible. Sharing scope for review and receiving approval are separate from creating the project.
Expected result
A project and its initial tasks reviewed. This does not establish client scope acceptance or completion of work.
Questions about this process
Too many tasks appear
Review template selection before creating. Afterwards, inspect existing tasks before applying another set.
The project is missing from the portal
The real portal shows projects whose latest scope review is approved. A later pending review may remove the project from that list; do not treat the preview as proof of the client experience.
